The beginning of Celebrating

vescoloano_mThe Institute of Capuchin Sisters of Mother Rubatto celebration of the jubilee year began January 30 with a heartfelt celebration of the Eucharist presided over by his Excellence Mons. Mario Oliveri in the chapel fraternity of Loano, place of the foundation.

Welcome Address by Sr Carmen Cimarolli to the partecipants:

Your Excellency Mgr Mario Olivero, Fr Francesco Rossi, Minister Provincial, Sr Franca Zeni, Mother Provincial, Your Honour the Deputy Mayor of Loano, dear brothers and sisters.

suoreloano"We have all believed in God's love" (1 Jn 4:16) which brought us together in this chapel, but above all to remember in this place willed and blessed by God of the 125 years of our Institute of the Capuchin Sisters of Mother Rubatto.

In this day of gratitude and thanksgiving to the Lord, in our prayer and above all in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist which is the greatest gift of LOVE for the welfare of each one of us and of every community. The blessing and approval by the Lord fell upon Mother Frances and on those sisters "at that time" when on the 23rd January 1885, He gave birth to a new reality of "consecrated women" to the service of the Church - an institution which was well accepted and sustained by the then bishop of Albenga, Mgr Philip Allegro.

We are gathered here to celebrate a memorial, to remember our history initiated by our Seraphic Father Francis and by Mother Frances Rubatto. We are remembering of the deeds done by the Lord and is for us a reminder of the promises by God which orient us towards a future of hope. Ours is a passionate history for the Kingdom of God, a history initiated and passed on to us by Mother Frances. It is a history that we want to make it all the time alive during the years that are awaiting for us. It is a history stamped in the blood by the martyrdom joined with "our capuchin brothers" in the heart of the Amazon Forest, within the mission of Alto Allegrre in 1901.

pensioloanoMay our thanksgiving and praise in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist sustain us along our path, may the Word of God continue to be life and may the reciprocal communion be a bearer of hope for the future.

Today all of us want to renew our lives to God with the same spirit with which our Seraphic Father and our Blessed Mother Frances themselves fulfilled, and together with them we say "My God and my all." We the daughters of Mother Frances confirm our trust and disponibility to love and listen to God be loved by Him who is Love and takes care of our lives.
