The wish to be throughout the world became a reality
on the first centenary of Mother Frances's entry into glory!...

On the 10th October 2004 three sisters from the province of Eritrea left from Rome directed to a new mission at Bambili, on the outskirts of Bamenda, in the northwest of Cameroun.
In Rome Mgr Ezio Dieci, the vicar for the northern deanery,
gave the sisters the missionary
cross to carry with them to the new mission of Bambili.
Bishop Mgr Paul Verdezekov, who invited our sisters
to Cameroun, wrote to Mother Gabriella:
"I thank the Lord who inspired your Institute to be generous to our request and made yourselves available to open a new community in the archdiocese of Bamenda.
Your availability to establish this community is a precious gift that the Lord is giving to us and my duty as the bishop of this diocese to accept the sisters with much gratitude and love.
Once again I want to express to you my readiness and will to welcome the sisters to open a new community in the parish of Our Lady of Fatima, Bamibili, in the parish run by the Marist Fathers.
We the bishop and the people are obliged towards your Institute who generously offered to serve the church in Bamenda.
Your presence in Bamenda is surely the will of the Lord.
Through your generosity the Lord shows us that He cares for his people in Bamenda,
because He is the real Good Shepherd."
The parish is only a few kilometres away from the theologate of the Capuchin Fathers who themselves welcomed among them till we could procure a house of ours and are very happy with our arrival.

On the 17th October we were officially welcomed in the parish.
After the ceremony the parishioners who are very committed chritians, expressed their joy for our arrival through
traditional dances of welcome.

Then in the nearby church of St Francis, a small village near the parish, we were introduced to Fon (the king of the area and the lord of the land). We were introduced to the royal family and the people expressed to us their wish to establish a school and a dispensary.
Having adapted themselves to the culture and traditions of the place, the sisters soon began to build a kindergarten through the assistance of benefactors on a piece of land given by the archdiocese.
Later on the sisters began to build their own house and a centre for the education of young ladies.

Together with the sisters who have been called to
"implant our Institute" in Cameroun,
we feel that this new mission is an
"act of grace by the Lord to our community" that is called
to be a prophetic
sign among the people and a call towards God who is "our joy and all"
